Event description

You will create your own herbal salve using organic plant oil and beeswax, infused with a herbal macerate of Calendula, Lavender, or Sage.

The workshop is taking place at the lovely Pottery Patch shop in Oamaru, and hot drinks and treats are available for purchase during the class. Grab a friend for a fun afternoon out, or bring your tween/teen for some hands on action with beautiful oils and smells to enjoy!

We will discuss:

  • When and how to pick herbs

  • How to dry them

  • How to store them

  • How to prepare herbs for making salves

We will also talk about:

  • How to store homemade cosmetics

  • How to safely use essential oils

The salve will be stored in a reusable amber glass jar to take home.
