Dr William Donald was a doctor, dentist, administrator, magistrate, advocate for Māori, and a Masonic Grand Master of Canterbury. Described by Charlotte Godley as “a very good sort of man, although rather rough at first”, Dr Donald is now a forgotten man and his many exploits and achievements largely unknown. Come along to this session to find out more about this man of many parts and the tale of the missing champagne.
