Meet Our Wellness Speakers

  • Maya Bhogal

    Maya Bhogal

Maya Bhogal has worked in the helping field for over 12 years. Her journey into mental health was deeply shaped by her experience competing in bodybuilding, which became a pivotal turning point in her life. Through this experience, she recognized the powerful connection between fitness, mental health, and overall well-being, motivating her to continue her professional path into the counselling field. Maya works with individuals and couples, offering both in-person sessions in South Surrey and virtual counselling. Her approach is holistic and client-centered, empowering individuals to take an active role in their mental health, strengthen their voice, and prioritize their needs. With lived experience within the South Asian community, Maya is deeply aware of the cultural and familial barriers that can make self-care feel challenging or inaccessible. She supports clients navigating stress, family and cultural dynamics, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, depression, and anxiety, with the goal of helping them care for themselves so they can more fully care for others.

  • Navreen Kaur

    Navreen Kaur

Navreen Kaur is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based in New Westminster, British Columbia, and the founder of a community-centered private practice focused on holistic mental wellness. She works primarily with South Asian women, couples, and families, supporting them through challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, and intergenerational dynamics. Navreen’s work is deeply rooted in attachment-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care. She understands the unique pressures South Asian women often carry — balancing family expectations, cultural values, personal goals, and emotional well-being, often while being taught to put themselves last. At the heart of her approach is the belief that wellness is not just about managing symptoms, but about learning how to feel safe in your body, express emotions freely, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others.
