About the Authors:
Leslie Glendening and Beth Huegli are two moms who desired to help their children write God’s words on their hearts. During a neighborhood Bible study for their daughters, they used dance as an activity to encourage scripture memorization. Recognizing this powerful connection, they opened HIS Dance Academy in 2002 to help students develop excellent dance technique while building Christian character and reaching their community for Christ.
Hissy the Honey Bee, was developed from watching their own daughters, twirl through their days with a childlike faith. Stories of Hissy’s love of God’s word, and the sweet adventures that ensue, have been enjoyed by the HIS Dance Academy students for years. Now they share Hissy with a greater audience and hope people love her as much as they do!
