Hive Creative Lab: Elementary Kids' Art Class 1/15/25 to 2/19/25

Join The Hive Creative Lab and come explore drawing, painting, sculpting, and more to create wonderful original art.

Class meets for 6 weeks, every Wednesday 4pm-5:30pm, January 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19.  

Delve into Structural Explorations for this fun 6-week class!  Multi-media class, appropriate for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  

Please dress for mess, as paint smudges may always be part of our fun art classes!  (we do provide an apron for class use).  All materials included.  Classes are in The Hive gallery by Bee Cave Arts Foundation, in suite F160, across from H&M and Dillard's in the Hill Country Galleria.

Come learn with our fabulous instructor Petra!
Petra has lived on three continents, and this is reflected in her work. Images from Africa, the Middle East and Texas are recurring themes in her art. Her favorite medium is soft pastels, closely followed by mixed media and acrylics. Petra states: "I'm privileged that my work is in private collections in South Africa, the UK, Ecuador, Abu Dhabi, California, Arizona, Florida and Texas. Since settling in Austin, Texas, in 2015, my work has been on display in numerous exhibitions." Petra is still taking art courses, exploring new ways of expressing herself through her art. "I don't think I will ever stop learning - there is always room for improvement."
