HOF - Fire Academy - Act Creation Lab - SY FRINGE
Event description
Act creation lab is a guided act development course designed for emerging performers ready to take their creative vision to the stage. Over 8 weeks, students will workshop a concept of their own choosing — including burlesque, aerials or circus fusions (or anything in between) — and shape it into a polished solo act with support from the group and mentorship from head instructor Miss Eli Fury.
The course culminates in a live, paid solo performance at Apocalypse: When the World Ends in Fire at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025. Each act will be original, authentic, and forged through collaboration, feedback, and fearless experimentation.
About the Show:
Apocalypse: When the World Ends in Fire is a fire-fusion showcase with a dystopian high fantasy aesthetic — think Mad Max, The Purge, and pagan ritual energy. All acts in the show must incorporate fire in some way. Props, styles, and genres are wide open: burlesque, aerials, circus, ritual performance, storytelling — as long as it burns. Solo acts should feel bold, atmospheric, and a little dangerous.
