Terry, Katie and Tighe Worthington run a 7,000-acre mixed grazing enterprise approximately 60 km north of Condobolin in the Boona Mount area. In 2022, they began transitioning from a predominantly wool and wheat system to a beef cattle crossbreeding and trading enterprise, alongside a reduced flock of non-mulesed, self-replacing, bare-breeched Merinos and other on-farm income streams. Their management focus has shifted towards low-input farming and working with nature, with a long-term goal of building healthy land, a sustainable generational business and a profitable enterprise while navigating challenging soils, variable rainfall and debt.
A practical day of learning, discussion and seeing holistic grazing management in action.
