Holy Hurt Support Group | Understanding Spiritual Trauma and the Process of Healing
Event description
Embark on a journey of growth and healing with me as we explore the impact of spiritual trauma and learn to rebuild trust within ourselves, with God and in our communities.
If you have been wounded in your spiritual journey, are feeling unsafe and unsure about an experience/s you've had in a faith community, are disenfranchised with religion, questioning or deconstructing your beliefs, angry about the misogyny and patriarchy you've experienced, or if you've been labelled as a Jezebel, black sheep or backslider, this group is a safe place for you to be witnessed and seen.
Drawing inspiration from the book Holy Hurt by author and therapist Hillary McBride, this Guided Therapeutic Support Group will affirm the reality of your experiences and offer practical embodied strategies for healing the wounds you carry.
As we journey together in safety and trust you will have the opportunity to;
💫 Connect to your truest self
💫 Restore your body-soul-spirit
💫 Encounter love and acceptance
💫 Grow spiritually & emotionally
💫 Engage in therapeutic activities
💫 Heal in safe community

This is a nurturing and non-judgemental gathering of women who are attuned to their need for healing and are willing to embark on a growth journey in a closed community.
Due to the sensitive nature of healing work that honours the courage and vulnerability required to face the deep pain and hurt caused by spiritual trauma, this group is closed after week 2. Honouring the sensitive, empathic, introverted and neurodiverse souls amongst us a maximum of 10 women will be in attendance.
Women of all ages, life stages and cultural backgrounds are welcome.
