Event description

Within contemporary witchcraft the time of honouring the Ancestors takes place around Samhain, and in the Southern Hemisphere, Samhain occurs at the end of April.

Considered to be the most sombre of all the seasonal festivals, Samhain is also the time when the veils are at their thinnest between the worlds, and when communing with loved ones who have gone before is common practice.

You are invited to join us on Sunday, 27 April 2025 as we explore what the concept of what "ancestor" means, before honouring those who have gone before us, whose DNA flows through our blood and bones, the names remembered and those whose names have been forgotten, as well as spirit ancestors, those of place, the Genius loci, and more.

NB: This Gathering Around the Cauldron event will include the setting up of an altar and a rite which will require group participation, sound and movement.  As such, what you receive out of such events is based on your willingness to participate.

Gathering Around the Cauldron offers the opportunity for the genuine seeker, novice, or solitary to meet and connect with like-minded individuals, as well as sharing knowledge and gaining practical experience when it comes to working magic and ritual through the lens of contemporary witchcraft.

If you are seeking to deepen your understanding of magic, ritual and contemporary witchcraft, then you are invited to join us by Gathering Around the Cauldron as we create a place of community and healing through connect back to the Sacred.
