Event description

Darren McCormick from NorMac Rural Services is our guest presenter for this informal session. Darren has worked in pastures and livestock systems for 25 years with a background in dairy pastures and production through the North East valleys.

Darren will take us through assessing pasture health and composition and will cover the following aspects of pasture management:

  • Planning – short & longer term
  • Preparation
  • Renovation phases
  • Species selection
  • Timing
  • Weed control including grass & broadleaf weeds.
  • Fertiliser/Liming and soil testing
  • Grazing management

All welcome, FREE event.
