How to Innovate: Design for Innovation and Commercialisation
Event description
HOW TO INNOVATE: DESIGN FOR INNOVATION AND COMMERCIALISATION
How might we use design to deliver a systematic, scalable and repeatable approach to innovation and commercialisation that reduces risk and increases your chances of success?
- In this program you will learn the 3 top reasons people typically fail on their innovation or commercialisation journey, and how to avoid these common mistakes.
- We'll also introduce you to the one-page Spearhead Innovation Roadmap (TM) empowering you to learn and apply the right innovation and commercialisation skills in the right place at the right time; reducing the risk involved when doing something new, and giving you more confidence in your approach to getting it done.
So, if you’re starting a business, seeking to commercialise a new product or service, or looking to lead innovation successfully in a government or community organisation... then this is for you!
The session will be led by David Spear, Principal of Spearhead Strategic Design and Innovation and Founder of the Geelong Design Leaders Forum (GDLF). David is an award winning innovator, who has set up, run and led organisations in Victoria, Queensland and Canberra. He is also a dedicated community leader helping to shape positive economic, social, and environmental outcomes in the Geelong region.
David has successfully trained, coached, and mentored hundreds of businesses to support their success, including recent clients at Deakin University's ManuFutures National Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Hub, the Victorian Transport Accident Commission, the Committee for Geelong's Leaders for Geelong program, and one of the Geelong region's leading environmental organisation, Geelong Sustainability.
- If you’re starting a new business, seeking to commercialise a new product or service, or looking to successfully lead innovation in a government or community organisation, don't miss this session!
