Wild Nidra: A Forest Bathing + Deep Rest Experience
Event description
Wild Nidra: Forest Bathing Meets Deep Rest
Step away from the noise and into nature’s embrace.
Wild Nidra is a 2-hour experience that weaves together the grounding benefits of forest bathing with the deeply restorative practice of Yoga Nidra (a lying down meditation). Nestled on private bushland at the edge of Wombat State Forest, you’ll be guided to slow down, connect with the natural world, and return to yourself.
We’ll begin by arriving gently to the forest, feeling the ground, breathing the fresh air and noticing what’s around and within. From there, we create our rest nests (with blankets and pillows) amongst the flora, fungi, and birdsong, and settle into a guided Nidra practice that has been created to soothe the nervous system and invite deep, nurturing rest.
This is for you if you’re craving stillness, rest and reconnection with yourself and with nature.
✨ This is an inclusive event for all who identify as women and non-binary.
Wild Nidra offers a supportive space to rest, reconnect, and be held by nature. Created to support mental health, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging, this gathering honours the importance of safe, restorative spaces for self-care. ✨
What to bring: a picnic rug or yoga mat, a cosy blanket or sleeping bag, warm layers, and anything else you need to feel supported. All your rest nest items can be transported to the site so we can enjoy a gentle forest wander with lightness and ease.
