Huni Kuin Concert @ The Haven PDX

With a population of more than 25,000 people, they have one of the largest populations of Indigenous Peoples in Brazil.

Biruany is a spiritual leader of her people and she is worldly recognized for her groundbreaking achievements. She is notably the first Huni Kuin woman to lead spiritual works and engage in pioneering studies, challenging traditional gender roles and expectations.

Bixku is a leader in his village, known for his strong commitment to the indigenous cultural heritage, working on the recognition and preservation of indigenous cultures on a global scale.
