Target Audience: In-house janitorial staff, cleaning professionals, independent technicians, and flooring installers in commercial, institutional, and residential settings. Beginners and experienced cleaners seeking IICRC FCT certification
Objectives:
Build a foundation in hard-surface floor care for resilient and non-resilient flooring (VCT, LVT, stone, ceramic, porcelain).
Learn safe, effective cleaning and maintenance techniques for routine and restorative tasks.
Identify flooring materials, properties, and appropriate methods to deliver professional results.
Reduce errors, expand services, and enhance credibility by adhering to IICRC standards.
Day 1: May 5, 2026 – Hard Surface Floor Care Fundamentals
Intro to Flooring Materials & Identification
Floor Care Safety & Best Practices
Routine Maintenance Techniques
Cleaning Methods for Resilient Flooring (VCT, LVT)
Day 2: May 6, 2026 – Advanced & Restorative Care
Cleaning Non-Resilient Flooring (Stone, Ceramic, Porcelain)
Restorative Techniques & Product Selection
Hands-On Application & Troubleshooting
Exam, Certification & Wrap-Up IICRC FCT Exam Preparation (2 hours)
Review of key concepts:
Practice exam questions and tips for passing the certification test.
Wrap-Up and Q&A (0.5 hours)
Final hands-on practice and troubleshooting common challenges.

IICRC Certification
To earn certification, students must pass the certification exam, which is available for an additional fee paid directly to the IICRC.
Students must visit www.iicrc.org to register online and submit the exam fee before or on the first day of class.
Please keep a copy of your payment confirmation or have the means to log in at the end of the scheduled class to report to the instructor once exam registration is complete.
