As we continue our 50 year jubilee commemorations of the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia (MCCSA), we invite our community to join us for the Inaugural MCCSA Multicultural Oration - an inspring evening hearing from academic and UTS Fellow, Dr. Helen Vatsikopoulos whose doctorate examined identity and nationalism. This event signals the moment for a bold and timely conversation that dares to reimagine the Australian multicultural story.

The evening will confront the myths, omissions, and limitations of Australia’s multicultural self-image.

From the frontlines of global conflict to the heart of local communities, Dr. Vatsikopoulos brings a fearless voice to the question: Whose stories are being told—and whose are left out?

Now more than ever, we must reclaim storytelling as a force for empathy, equity, and truth.
