Inaugural WA Landcarers' Hall of Fame Celebratory Sundowner
Event description
2023 marks 40 years since the ‘beginnings’ of the modern landcare movement in WA.  The WA Landcare Network has been working alongside First Nations community, community groups, WA Parliamentary Friends of Landcare, and the whole sector to facilitate a season of celebrations.
Aligned with the 40 Years of Landcare in WA celebrations we are establishing the WA Landcarers’ Hall of Fame, a repository of portraits, biographies, and timelines of this rich history to provide inspiration and education for generations to come.
The WA Landcarers’ Hall of Fame will recognise those individuals who have contributed a lifetime of dedication through action, leadership, research, advocacy, policy, publication, and persistent hard work.Â
Join the WA Landcare Network for drinks and canapés in the Education Room at the Cockburn Wetlands Centre overlooking the centre's wetland while we celebrate and honour our first group of Hall of Fame inductees and their achievements over 40 years of Landcare in WA.Â
Free parking is available at the Cockburn Wetlands Centre but we encourage you to carpool where possible.Â
