Infinity Broke + The Holy Soul + Restless Leg
Event description
A Triple bill of epic Sydney-centric proportions!
Infinity Broke
Described by The Music as "Like Thurston Moore covering Neil Young’s Like A Hurricane in Dusseldorf," Infinity Broke are a furious, percussion-heavy quartet led by Bluebottle Kiss founder Jamie Hutchings, rounded out by Scott Hutchings and Reuben Wills, and introducing new member Tyrone Stevens. A powerful exercise in dissonance, rhythm, and melody, their latest release is the LP Your Dream My Jail. This is a rare live outing for the group, expect a couple of newies!
The Holy Soul
The Holy Soul is Trent Marden, Jon Hunter, Kate Wilson and Sam Worrad, and they've got a new album called Get Old! Of their new album, producer and bona fide musical legend Robyn Hitchcock says: “The Holy Soul fall into the un-niche that is Art Rock: they are blissfully genre-free, though you could safely say they aren’t pop music. It’s the sound of four musicians being themselves, reacting to life as they effervesce in the glass of life, right next to God’s dentures. Not always pretty, but invariably some kinda fun.”
Restless Leg
Restless Leg got born in March 2012 at a backyard party. Constant gigging lent itself to lean and direct song arrangements recalling classic antipodean indie rockers such as The Go-Betweens and The Clean. RL released their self-titled debut in June 2013, follow up album 'Some Kind of Restless' in October 2017 and 'Dream Buffet' in June 2021. They head into the studio later this year to record their fourth album which promises to be as wobbly and melodic as ever!
