International Chefs Day is celebrated worldwide every 20 October. Chef Dr Bill Gallagher founded it in 2004 to recognise chefs and support food education for the next generation.

ACF Victoria is marking the day with an evening at the Angliss Restaurant, William Angliss Institute.

On the night, emerging young chefs will cook and serve their signature dishes and talk about their careers so far. They'll cover the opportunities that came through ACF, including mentoring, competitions, Worldchefs Congress and international travel.

The evening is open to all chefs and cooks, apprentices, students, educators and industry partners.
