The world of 3D printing has exploded over the last few years, becoming increasingly accessible with a huge variety of open source platforms that are free, and readily available. The applications for 3D printed items is endless, and Rising Sun Workshop has spent the last 2 years learning and refining our skills in the 3D printing realm.
With this in mind, RSW is offering a workshop class on how to use 3D printers and the appropriate software, tailored specifically to applications for Motorcycle Maintenance and Modification.
This course is introduction to the key concepts and processes of 3D Design alongside the available applications. Course outlines include:
- 3D Modelling software including Blender
- Model preparation amd key modelling concepts
- Slicing Software including Cura
- 3D printer types and their relevant techniques [particularly FDM Printers]
- Filament types and materials
- Machine Calibration and troubleshooting
- Access to the RSW Cheat Sheet [a take home resource document with all the info you need to get up and running ASAP]
