Introduction to Claude AI

Three and a half hours, in person, hands on. We get you set up in Claude properly, then spend the rest of the time on your own work: your documents, a real task, your first Project.

You leave with one finished file you can download and send, plus three setups installed in your own account. Your personal instructions, so every chat starts knowing your role. A project instructions template, filled in for one real piece of work. And a Skill that strips the AI tell out of anything Claude writes for you.

Already on ChatGPT or Copilot, or never used a chat tool at all? Either way you are in the right room. We set everyone up from scratch on the day. No Claude experience assumed.

• Why Claude, and how it differs from ChatGPT and Copilot (25 min)

• Getting set up, and writing your personal instructions (25 min)

• Prompting Claude well (35 min)

• Break (10 min)

• Working with documents and files (30 min)

• Projects, project instructions and Artifacts (25 min)

• Skills, including the anti-AI writing Skill (25 min)

• Connectors: plugging Claude into where your work lives (20 min)

• What is next, Q&A and feedback (15 min)

Everything after the first session is hands on. Total runtime 3 hours 30 minutes.

What to bring

A laptop, and a real job you are behind on. You do not need a Claude account or a paid subscription. We will set you up on the day, and the free plan covers everything we use. If you want to connect Claude to a work account, get IT approval first.

Not the right course if you are after Cowork, agents or automation. That is Claude 2.
