Unleash the power of journaling in this four-week guided workshop and learn how to build a sustainable journaling practice that promotes self-discovery and personal growth. This session will lead you toward clarity, creativity, and peace. By participating in this interactive workshop, you'll learn diverse journaling techniques that will help you process emotions, spark creativity, and set meaningful goals. Development of these skills, as well as exercising you problem-solving and decision-making methods, can be applied not only in your personal life, but also in your professional endeavors.
We will cover:
- The benefits of journaling for mental health, stress management, and creativity.
- A variety of journaling techniques, including free writing, gratitude journaling, and prompt-based entries.
- How to overcome the “blank page” challenge and develop a sustainable practice.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have developed a personalized journaling practice, gain tools to explore emotions, clarify goals, and spark creativity, and have built the confident to write freely and consistently.
Materials to Bring:
- A notebook or journal of your choice (any size or style).
- Your favorite writing tools (pen, pencil, or markers).
- Optional: Highlighters, stickers, or decorative items for personalization.

Note: All workshop participants will have the opportunity to publish at least one work with Write Pittsburgh during the year in which the workshop was taken. Workshop participants will also be invited to share their work publicly either in-person or online at Write Pittsburgh events hosted throughout the year.
