Event description
“Wherever you are, be there totally" Eckart Tolle
Join us as we discuss an Introduction to Mindful Parenting where we will share both the benefits of parenting our children mindfully and some of the ways you can start mindful parenting right now.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is an evidence-based practice with its roots reaching thousands of years back in history, however, it has taken on a new emergence in the last 40 years. Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present and in the moment. To be aware of our thoughts, feelings, our body sensations and the environment without being distracted or overwhelmed by them. Mindfulness is without judgement but rather accepting where we are in the present moment.
Why is Mindfulness important?
Mindfulness practise is a key element to stress reduction as well as boosting our happiness, resilience, engagement and overall wellbeing. And we all want more of that.
During this webinar, we will discuss:
- Some of the science behind mindfulness.
- The vital role we, as parents have in modelling how to live mindfully.
- How mindful parenting will benefit us, our children and our relationships.
- Some strategies we can put in place to become a mindful parent.
Come along to learn how mindful parenting can create a more connected, resilient and peaceful family life.
There will be a short Q & A at the end so make sure you register to chat with us in this webinar.
