Finding Your People: Evening Virtual Mytime
Event description
Parenting a child with disability can sometimes feel lonely. Friends may drift, family might not fully understand, and it can be hard to find people who truly “get it.”
This session is about finding people who understand your journey, who celebrate the wins and who stand alongside you in the hard moments. We’ll talk about the power of peer connection, how to nurture supportive friendships, and the difference it can make to feel part of a community that sees and values you.
In this peer group we’ll explore
Why loneliness so often shows up for parents and carers
How to rebuild friendships that have drifted
Where to look for people who “get it”
What real connection can do for your wellbeing
