Introduction to Loose Watercolour

Join award-winning artist, Libby Derham in her Palmwoods studio, where you will be introduced to the wonderful medium of watercolour. This workshop is designed as an introduction to the medium, taking participants through differences in paint, paper and brushes. The workshop is packed with hands-on techniques covering brush handling, wet and dry watercolour techniques and ways to loosen up your watercolour approach. Useful for those starting out, refreshing skills or wanting to change direction in the medium, this is aimed at the beginners level but open to all. After lots of hands-on practice, you will apply the new skills learnt, to create a loose abstract that is mesmerising yet meditative, as your memory for the day.

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron. Morning tea included.
