Japanese Pencil Writing/Calligraphy Fridays 金曜書道クラス

Get creative and learn the beautiful forms of Japanese writing characters this year. 

For those who survive the digital age the time for handwriting is valuable. Majority of Japanese characters including hiragana, katakana and kanji have one certain stroke order and are strictly taught for better forms. Why don't we learn about the beauty and Japanese characters more deeply, with a pencil or a calligraphy brush, or both?  

Maiko, the master of Japanese calligraphy / writing will guide you at the lesson.

-Location : KIN Creative Space, 20 Beach Road, Kingston Beach TAS 7050.

For ages 8-17 (Grade 2-11)

4 - 5pm / 5 - 6pm (1hour session or a combined session for 2hours) 
-$15 for a pencil writing lesson 
-$20 for a calligraphy lesson 
-$35 for both lessons (4 - 6pm)

For adults

4:30 - 6pm (1.5 hours session)
-$25 for a calligraphy lesson

-Bookings required. 

-Previous / current Japanese language learning/speaking environment is not necessary (studying Japanese, family background and having a residence history etc.) but definitely a plus as we write Japanese sentences and use Japanese for context.

-No materials needed.

-The venue is located at the rear of Kingston Beach Hall.  Parking is not available on site but there is parking nearby the Salty Dog and down on the beach - please remember not to use the Atlas Barbell private parking area.

情報のインプットはしやすいのにアウトプットが少ないこの時代、いざ字を書いてみようとすると字を忘れていたりきれいに書けないこと、ありませんか？

鉛筆で日本の文字を書くことで、毛筆では得るのが難しい字の筆圧、細かい動きやサイズへの意識も高めましょう。

2017年から子ども書道教室を運営しつつ、大人向けワークショップや出張レッスンなどもしているハウエル麻衣子が、今年からタスマニア州のホバート近郊で小学生以上の皆さまへ書道クラスをひらきます。硬筆と毛筆、ご都合のよい日に是非ご参加ください。

４月から９月の定期クラスは土曜日でなく、金曜日開催に変更いたします。

事前予約制です。対象年齢とご希望に見合うクラスをご予約お願いいたします。

また、定員に達し次第予約受付を終了させていただきます。

お手本に関しては、小中学生の皆さまへは学年ごとに文科省で定められた漢字の規定に沿って作成しています。

ご参加に際して、日本の文字、言葉、文法を取り扱うため、日本の文字は書けなくても日本語の単語や文脈へのご理解を頂けると大変助かります。皆さまのご予約、お待ちしております。

最寄り駐車場 : 会場への専用駐車場はありませんが、キングストンビーチの公共駐車場が近くにあるのでそちらを是非ご利用いただくようお願いいたします。

会場 ：Kingston Beach Hall の左側にある小道に入っていただくとKINと書いてある看板があります。その看板横の扉からレッスンの部屋へ入っていただく形となります。
