Explore a variety of embellishments, from paper clips and washi tape to fabric scraps and buttons, and learn how to incorporate them creatively into your journal. This workshop will guide you step-by-step through the fundamental techniques of creating your very own unique and personalized junk journal. We'll explore the exciting possibilities of transforming everyday materials – book pages, maps, ticket stubs, fabric remnants, and more – into a charming and tactile keepsake
About the Artist: Kathy Burnside
Kathy Shaw Burnside is an artist of many talents. At this time in her journey she's developed from a bookbinding artist into a junk journaling artist. This art form has its roots in bookmaking, and includes recycling and upcycling. The art form encompasses many of the paper arts genres--watercolor, origami, Zentangle, just to name a few. Kathy is passionate about her art, and this really comes through in her classes. Kathy is currently Eno Arts Mill's BIPOC Artist in Residence with her business partner, Neysa Rojas. Together they run Blue Wagon Studios, LLC.
