Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Kaitlyn Chester is a jazz vocalist and bassist recognised for her creative artistry, deep musicality, and commitment to jazz education and research. A finalist for the prestigious Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship, she holds a Bachelor of Music with Distinction from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and is a recipient of the Owen Fletcher Postgraduate Award.
Kaitlyn has performed at leading Australian venues including the Brisbane Jazz Club, Gold Coast City Jazz Club, and HOTA, with additional performances in the UK, New York City and Europe. In 2025, she studied in New York City at the Tribeca Jazz Institute under the guidance of acclaimed jazz vocalists Lucy Yeghiazaryan and Vanisha Gould. Currently back in Brisbane, Kaitlyn enjoys her performing as a band leader, vocal director and choral conductor.
