ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Kate and Jol Temple are the internationally award-winning children’s authors of more than twenty books for children. Their books have been translated into 22 languages worldwide. Their picture books include the hilarious bestselling picture book series Bin Chicken.

In 2022, Winner Winner Bin Chicken Dinner was shortlisted for the ABIA Children’s Picture Book of the Year. In 2020, their picture book Room On Our Rock, a poignant allegory about empathy and refugees, was awarded the prestigious Charlotte Huck Award for Outstanding Fiction for Children, recognising fiction that has the potential to transform children’s lives by inviting compassion, imagination and wonder.

Kate and Jol live in Sydney with their two sons. When they’re not writing, Kate pretends to play the tuba and Jol makes little egg-carton shelters for Star Wars characters.
