Australian Baroque presents an evening of exquisite works from the Baroque era for soprano and strings as part of their new collaboration with Lost Eden Creative, Dwellingup. Internationally renowned soprano Kate Macoboy returns from London to join Australian Baroque in performing a breathtaking program of Handel, Vivaldi and Purcell.

Gourmet tasting plates and wine selection will be available for purchase on the night from 5:30pm at Lost Eden’s Garden Eats café and bar, before the concert at 7.30pm in the gallery.

This is the first in a series of concerts that Australian Baroque will be performing at Lost Eden Creative in 2024. 

More about Kate- Perth-born Kate Macoboy is an experienced ensemble singer and soloist. Embracing a broad repertoire, she performs in the UK, Europe and Australia freelance and under contract with leading choirs Ars Nova Copenhagen and Chamber Choir Ireland, under the direction of Paul Hillier. She also sings regularly with a number of professional church choirs in London and has engagements with Theatre of Voices and the Danish National Vocal Ensemble. With Theatre of Voices she featured in the world premiere of Jóhann Jóhannsson’s multimedia work Last and First Men for two sopranos, symphony orchestra, electronics and live film. In 2010, she completed a Masters degree in Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies under scholarship at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

Australian Baroque Director Helen Kruger and Kate Macoboy have been long time friends and colleagues, both in Perth and throughout many years in London and Helen is delighted to welcome Kate back to perform with Australian Baroque for this very special concert in Dwellingup. 

Tickets are non-refundable except in the instance of event cancellation, rescheduling or significant relocation, in which case ticket holders may have their tickets refunded or exchange them for an alternative event.
