Kauri Creations: Make Your Own Māori-Designed Platter
Create a beautiful kauri platter featuring your own designs. Using recycled native wood, you’ll shape, sand, and finish your platter to keep it food-safe and durable.
The day begins with a health and safety briefing before using tools including a jigsaw, soldering iron, power drill, and sander. Please wear covered shoes and fitted clothing. Some activities may be outdoors, so dress for the weather.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone interested in sustainable, functional art. Children cannot attend due to safety rules. Arrive on time to join the session and take home a unique, handcrafted piece made by you.
