Event description

Raised in Texas but based in New York, KAZIMI makes genre-bending music that is tender and cinematic. The singer-songwriter dives deep into the personal to touch universal truths and alchemizes the grit of life into a sonic balm. Her sound draws from a rich palette of folk, soul, and ambient pop influences, woven together by a voice that feels both ancient and immediate. With lyrics that echo like prayers, KAZIMI’s work invites listeners into a space of intimacy, reflection, and emotional release. Her debut record, River Run, is a passage through memory, crafted with precision and care.

Amanda Rogers, the soulful voice behind the keys, has captivated audiences with her introspective lyrics and haunting melodies for over two decades. Born with an innate musical gift, and now with 14 solo albums in tow, Amanda's unwavering ascent as a singer-songwriter, in the face of adversity, has been a testament to the depth and complexity of the human condition. In her latest EP album, 52 Hurts, released on July 20, 2024, Amanda Rogers delves into the profound emotional landscapes that define our existence. Inspired by the mysterious “52 Hertz Whale”, known as ‘the loneliest creature on Earth’ due to its unique and solitary vocalizations, Amanda draws a parallel to the solitary struggles we all face in our lives, with hope and proof that there is more to the mystery, so keep on unraveling.

Beautiful Losers are Reagan Guthrie and Jack Parrish. The two young artists are living in Syracuse NY and have been developing a reflective sound that has the power to transfix whoever is listening. Blending sparse arrangements with tight-knit harmonies, their songs attempt to cut through to the truth of the heart. Their name can be attributed to the genius of Leonard Cohen, whose oeuvre is a driving inspiration for the band. Beautiful Losers are for fans of Joni Mitchell, Adrienne Lenker, and Yo La Tengo.
