Kids' Honey Workshop | July 2025

Join us at The Grounds of Alexandria for a fun and educational honey workshop led by the team from Maya Sunny Honey, perfect for curious kids and budding nature lovers alike. This hands-on experience dives into the fascinating world of bees, honey-making, and all things golden and gooey!

This experience is recommended for children aged 5–12 years, with one adult welcome to join and assist each child during the session.

What's to Expect?

• A buzzing introduction to the world of bees and why they’re so important to our planet.

• Hands-on fun extracting honeycomb and learning how honey is made.

• Create and take home your very own jar of honey!

• A relaxed outdoor setting under The Patio in The Grounds Garden.

Please note that bookings are essential and places will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so please act quickly to make sure you don't miss out.

Important Information

• Please only buy the tickets you need so more children can join the fun!

• This experience is suitable for kids aged 5-12 years. We know every child is different, so use your best judgement to decide if this activity is right for your little one.

• Tickets are only required for children; supervising adults accompanying their child do not need a ticket.

• This isn't a drop-off service and parents must stay within The Grounds of Alexandria while your child is participating in this experience.

• Can't make it? Refunds are available up to 72 hours before the event.

• Refunds cover the face value of the ticket but not booking fees, as these are charged by Humanitix. For details, check out their website.

• Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your session, and check in with our staff in The Patio.

• Parking and transport in the area can be challenging, so please allow plenty of travel time.

• This event is happening outdoors, undercover, so rain or shine, it's happening!

• Food and drinks are available from The Cafe, The Garden, and The Potting Shed. If you'd like to skip the wait, we recommend making a reservation online ahead of time.
