Renowned singer-songwriters Kim Yang and Hannah Acfield are back at Open Studio on 21 September. Fresh off festival appearances and showcases in the US, UK, Canada and Taiwan, Kim and Hannah are back in Melbourne to help farewell the spiritual heart of Northcote's music scene with a night of soulful songs and celebration. 

About Kim Yang:

Taiwanese-Australian singer-songwriter Kim Yang crafts ethereal music reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Bon Iver, blending soaring vocals, soothing melodies, and evocative lyrics. Kim's mission is to inspire self-expression and connection, urging others to embrace their passions and share their stories. Currently based in Beijing, Kim recently debuted at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, and Canada’s Jade Music Festival. 

About Hannah Acfield:

Hannah Acfield is an award-winning roots/soul singer-songwriter, fresh from showcasing in America at FAI 2024 and at Focus Wales in the UK, she’s been described as ‘a performer who weaves magic’. She draws the audience in with her otherworldly voice, authenticity, beautiful songwriting, and whip-smart humour.

• Limited seating is offered for all dance party events to allow for an open dance floor experience.
• Open Studio offers a patio and an outdoor garden courtyard with seating.
• Enjoy a variety of options, including sweet and savory crepes, cheese boards, jaffles, homemade nachos, cocktails, mocktails, and more, served until late. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available - please speak to staff if you have allergies.
