In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi—repairing broken pottery with golden seams that highlight, rather than hide, the cracks. Each piece becomes a living metaphor for resilience and transformation.

Note: This workshop is an adaptation of Kintsugi—we’ll use gold leaf sheets, and mica powder with a modern adhesive rather than traditional lacquer.

Your cherished pieces can be celebrated - but for your first experience, we recommend bringing a piece that's not of deep sentimental value.

Like any technique, Kintsugi takes practice, and this first attempt is all about learning the process.

We recommend bringing a small-to-medium ceramic piece (not porcelain) to work with — it's the easiest and most rewarding to repair.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a piece — we’ll happily provide one for you for a small materials fee on the day of the workshop.
