Know More About Knowmore

Navigating justice and healing options for survivors and victims can be tough. It can be a lot less tough with good information, advice and support.

Knowmore is an organisation that offers free legal advice for survivors and victims of child abuse, including people who have experienced sexual abuse in institutions and members of the Stolen Generation.

This training is co-led by a facilitator who accessed Knowmore’s services, alongside wonderful facilitators from our Aboriginal Engagement Advisor team.

In this lunchbox session, you will learn:

• Who Knowmore is and why we exist.

• The justice and healing options that survivors and victims often access through Knowmore (including civil, redress, victims of crime etc).

• Why early, free, quality legal advice and information is critical for people wanting to explore their options.

• Types of legal and non-legal support Knowmore offers, including how our Aboriginal Engagement Advisors meet the needs of mob.

• How our SST and financial counselling teams show up for survivors and victims.

• How we support Redress Support Services.

• When and how to refer to us.
