Kripalu Yoga was inspired by the awakened spiritual master Swami Kripalu. This practice strengthens body and mind, balances the energetic system, builds inner stability, and guides you toward Yoga’s ultimate goal of Self-Realization.

Kripalu & Ashtanga Yoga
After receiving a shakipat energy transmission from Swami Kripalu, Yogi Amrit Desai created what is now called Kripalu Yoga.
It’s a full-spectrum practice that integrates your:
- Physical body
- Mind and emotions
- Energy body
- Spiritual awareness

Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga
- Yama: universal ethics
- Niyama: personal observances
- Asana: physical postures
- Pranayama: breathwork
- Pratyahara: sense withdrawal

- Dhyana: meditation
- Samadhi: spiritual union, inner stillness, and spiritual illumination
What Happens At The Class
In every session, you’ll practice the Kripalu Method to build a deeper foundation in authentic yoga and the 8 limbs of yoga. Whether you already practice another style or are looking to go deeper, this class will enrich your journey. Here is what you can expect to experience:
- The “first half” of a posture (active doing)
- The “second half” (relaxed being and feeling)
- Third eye integration
- Gentle vinyasa flows and longer posture holds to encounter your edge
- Pranayama breathing techniques, mudras, and deep relaxation
- Conscious exploration of your physical and mental “edge”
- Release of deep tension and awakening of prana (life force energy)
Class Structure
- Intro, teachings, Q&A (10–15 min)
- Breathing techniques (3–5 min)
- Mudras, energy alignment, Sanskrit prayers (5 min)
- Asana: meditation in motion (≈ 50 min)
- Relaxation (10–12 min)
- Closing prayer for peace and well-being
Class Open To All Levels
Perfect for all levels with some yoga experience. Not beginner-focused, but welcoming to anyone who’s practiced before.
Attending the Class
- Join Zoom 10 minutes early
- Silence your phone
- Wear comfortable clothes (barefoot recommended)
- Avoid eating 1.5–2 hours before class
- Have props ready (mat, blocks, blanket, strap)
