Event description

🌸 Lá Bealtaine 2025 🌸

A celebration of Celtic culture, community, and connection across countries.

Join us for a celebration of Lá Bealtaine - the ancient Irish festival of fire and renewal, at the historic Gaelic Club in Surry Hills. This is a multicultural event, celebrating the influence of Celtic cultures and languages around the world. Our day-to-night festival has someone for everyone. In the early afternoon, we'll have family-friendly storytelling, kids' crafts, traditional food, and as the sky gets darker, think live music, Irish dance, flowing pints and more.

Try your hand at maypole, Morris or Irish dancing, or learn a few Irish words. With performances in English, Irish and many other languages, cross-cultural collaborations, and a feast of traditional Irish food and music, this festival brings together community, creativity, and culture in one joyful gathering.

Whether you’re part of the Irish diaspora, a language learner, or simply curious, Lá Bealtaine 2025 invites everyone to connect, create, and celebrate together.

🎟️ Tickets just $10 – includes lots of traditional snacks and access to all workshops.
Children free.

Lá Bealtaine has been celebrated in Ireland since pagan times. It marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere.

Proudly supported by Multicultural NSW.
