Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra Lithgow Transformation Hub presents our first FREE Bioblitz at Lake Pillans.
Become a citizen scientist and come along to this free event at Lake Pillans. Together we will be searching for as many living things as we can find- plants, birds, insects, and more! How many species will we find?
Gain new skills in using smartphone technology to record and identify life around us. Learn about the amazing insects munching in the undergrowth with visiting entomology expert Sean Moore. Contribute to scientific records for Atlas of Living Australia, helping us better understand how natural areas are recovering after the Black Summer bushfires.
Children are welcome, but all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is being funded under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program which is an initiative of the Commonwealth Government-National Recovery and Resilience Agency.
Some morning tea will be provided, and participants will be welcome to bring a picnic and stay on the grounds after the event.
