We’ve got an incredible line-up of queer comedians and poets who will bring their wittiest one-liners and their most moving musings to the stage. Expect stand-up sets that will leave you in stitches, and poets that can wrap their words around your hearts and squeeze out some tears. You may laugh, you may cry. We guarantee you’ll feel something!

As Australia’s first Centre for Queer History and Culture, Qtopia Sydney is proud to welcome you to Live at the Bandstand.

Multi-genre in its programming, the Live at the Bandstand program features comedy, cabaret, Drag, talks, book launches, live podcast recordings, script readings, small theatre performances, short films, music and more.

Our programming serves to provide live engagement opportunities at Qtopia to extend the knowledge, empathy and understanding gained from a visit to the exhibitions, by provoking conversation through the medium of live performance and events.
