Leadership Masterclass Series

Event description

Designed for leaders with more than 2 years managing employees OR those who have undertaken TCCI’s New & Emerging Leaders Series 1.0

This series has been designed to build on the New and Emerging Leaders Series 1.0 where participants cemented their knowledge in communication and managing employees. Not unlike series 1.0, these workshops have been chosen in consultation with those who have participated in series 1.0 as well as feedback from local business owners and operators, and will offer dynamic and practical content relevant to the workplace.

Participants will have access to the trainer throughout the series for additional mentoring where required and beneficial to ensure learning is easy, relevant, and actionable. Participants will learn about themselves, how others perceive them as well as adapt their behaviour to ensure positive interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

There will be learning activities set between workshops to allow participants to practice the skills and knowledge and reflect on the process.

Workshop 1: Leadership Essentials Plus, a deep dive into DISC (DiSC profile included)

6 September 2024, 9:30am -12:00pm

This workshop will unpack the tool ensuring participants understand the model, can identify their own and others behavioural communication styles and how to use the information for effective leadership.

Workshop 2: Emotionally Intelligent Leadership - (EQ profile included)

    20 September 2024, 9:30am -12:00pm

TTI Emotional Quotient explores how actively we apply our emotional intelligence. It is often argued that emotional intelligence (EI) is more important to an individual’s performance than IQ.

Unlock your potential by identifying simple activities to enhance your ability to develop and maintain workplace relationships.

    Workshop 3: Having Difficult Conversations

    4 October 2024, 9:30am -12:00pm

One of the major causes of workplace issues is the tendency to avoid difficult conversations or providing others with constructive criticism/negative feedback. In this workshop, we will use the information in the DISC and EQ profiles to understand why some conversations are more difficult than others, formulate ways to engage with individuals for maximum impact as well as understand the formula for being able to diffuse emotions and have meaningful conversations for positive impact.

Workshop 4: Bullying, Harassment, Discrimination & Psychosocial Hazards - What you need to know as a manager

      18 October 2024, 9:30am -11:30am

To ensure compliance with legislation and to set the scene for a positive culture, it is imperative that leaders and managers understand the legislation and can ensure workplace practices support this. This workshop will look at the legislations affecting positive workplace practices and look at your workplace documentation and ability to proactively manage risk.

Workshop 5: Time Management and Goal Setting

        1 November 2024, 9:30am - 12:30pm

This course provides simple and practical time management strategies to get more out of every day.
