Event description

About this event:

A 1-hour interactive session with Dr Amanda Sterling

While the business case for diverse and inclusive teams is compelling, New Zealand's leadership landscape still doesn't reflect our workforce diversity. Despite significant organisational investment, talented professionals continue to face barriers or opt out of leadership pathways – particularly in industries with traditional leadership models.
What if we could reimagine leadership to embrace, and benefit from, our different perspectives and lived experiences? Dr Amanda Sterling's groundbreaking research offers fresh insights into creating truly inclusive leadership environments that work for everyone.
Drawing on decades of social science and leadership research, Dr Sterling will:
● Present her own world-first research and what it reveals about leadership inclusion.
● Share evidence from organisations that have successfully increased leadership participation.
● Facilitate reflection on personal leadership experiences.
● Guide participants through practical steps to make positive changes in their own teams.
This session is designed for project managers who want to build higher-performing teams through inclusive leadership. Past participants have praised Dr Sterling's approach as "thought-provoking and inclusive" and valued the "safe space to explore this topic openly and honestly."
Join us to discover how making leadership more inclusive benefits everyone – and learn practical ways to start making changes today.
