Event description

This event is part of the Lismore Women's Festival. It is for all women (cis/transgender, non binary folks are also welcome) who are looking for an experiential day to learn how to foster more opportunities for rest in their life. The invitation is to step into a day of sacred peacefulness to find refuge from the challenges of our day to day life.  For full details of the event schedule please go to the end of this page.

We live in an increasingly busy world with many people suffering from anxiety, overwhelm, chronic illnesses, and other issues that are not resolving. Much of this can be attributed to a heightened state of stress and dysregulation in our nervous system. If we can't find calm in our system our body cannot move into its healing and relaxation state to address the issues that are causing us pain, discomfort and suffering.

In the morning you will begin exploring intuitive collage as a medium to access your subconscious mind to see what parts of you maybe creating blocks for rest.  Once you understand why they are there we will teach you ways to help them soften and settle.  When we feel safe, our body will naturally slip into restful states when it feels tired. After morning tea we will create a sacred symbol as a prompt to anchor and ground the cue for rest in our lives. These are simple creative exercises yet can invite in profound healing.

We will then lunch together with a wholesome and nourishing bowl of deliciousness.

Finally you will experience a meditation and sound healing immersion to allow your body to experience a deeply relaxed state.

A Vegan and Gluten Free Morning tea and lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know.

Please bring your own water, a notebook and pen, a mat, pillow and blanket and anything else that will add to your level of comfort.
