Learn to draw

Have you always wanted to learn how to draw?

This practical workshop will introduce you to a number of skills and techniques that unlock the secrets to making drawing feel simpler and more rewarding!

Learn how to:

• Use pencil, pen and graphite or charcoal and discover which one works best for you and your drawing style
• Sketch what you see - drawing from real life and still life. Breaking things down into shapes, lines and light/shade and how to sketch them onto a page
• Drawing from a photograph or source image on your phone- techniques to transpose what you see on your screen to a sketch on your page
  
  

In this workshop we will be working in black and white - simple line work that is easy to practice for great results!

Because this is a workshop about learning a technical skill the focus will be on lots of practice and developing techniques, so you may not take home a finished product to hang on the wall, but you will take home HEAPS of confidence, helpful hints and techniques to improve your drawing and lots of practice sheets to look back on as your continue your drawing journey.

• A mobile phone or tablet that you can search and view images on
• If you wear reading classes please bring them along
