Adults Workshop: Let's Create - Beginners Pottery with Kat – 3 Weeks Course
Lifelong clay enthusiast Kat from Kat’s Flora! wants you! That’s right, Kathleen Cederman is back at the Ōtorohanga Creative Conduit this time she is offering a course on her other love – pottery!
Learn pottery basics in a fun supportive group. In this workshop you will be creating planters/bowls, staked flowers and wall pockets for your home and garden. You will delve into interesting ways to create texture on your creations and different ways to glaze.
Kathleen is a passionate creator with a lifelong love of learning. Her pottery journey began at the Waikato Society of Potters and grew from there. Her creativity takes root in the world of plants and now create pottery and crafts with a botanical touch. Imagine pottery adorned with foliage inlays, pressed flowers adorning planters and botanical relief casts bringing the garden indoors.
Participants should dress for mess and bring a water bottle.
Workshop is $185 per person (+booking fee of $5.85) this includes clay, glazes, tools and kiln firing - Running over 3 Sundays 1-3pm 1st, 8th & 15th September
At this stage the workshop will take place in the space behind the Ōtorohanga Information Center (21 Maniapoto Street) Entrance to the workshop will be off Wahanui Crescent. But you will be notified about any change of venue closer to the date.
