With the warmer days of summer upon us, we thought it was a good time to have a seminar about swimming and all things aquatic.

Swimming or hydrotherapy offers many benefits for children with disabilities, promoting physical, cognitive and social development.

This FREE seminar will be presented by Rosemary Riley, Physiotherapist, swimming teacher and Mum to James. Topics to be discussed will include swimming programs for people with disability, local pool facilities, parent tips and tricks, equipment and adaptive clothing.

Morning tea will be provided.

Families Supporting Families (FSF) is an inclusive organisation for the WHOLE family of a child with a disability, autism or developmental delay. Formally launched in 2003, FSF is an incorporated charity organisation which offers peer-to-peer support in a friendly supportive environment, coffee mornings, occasional nights out, educational workshops with guest speakers, and school holiday events for families in the Greater Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas. Parenting a child with a disability or autism presents it's own joys and challenges, we believe a strong social network and access to relevant information can help along the way.
