Get creative at Studio Z - monthly creative workshops for teens where you’ll explore different Art and DIY techniques through hands-on projects. Each session is a chance to experiment with new materials and creative techniques in a fun and welcoming environment.
Join us for our final Studio Z session of 2026 and create your very own light-up miniature house! You’ll start with a blank wooden house, custom-made in the Parks Makerspace, then let your imagination take over as you decorate it with paints, clay, miniatures, trinkets, glitter and more! Create a traditional Christmas cottage, a storybook gingerbread house, a spooky hideaway, or something completely your own. Once your house is finished, you’ll take it home along with an LED candle so you can watch it glow from the inside.

- Can people under 12 attend Studio Z?
Studio Z is designed specifically for teens/high-schoolers to create, relax, and spend time with people their own age. All sessions, activities, and tools are planned with this specific age group in mind. For this reason, people under 12 or over 17 are not permitted.
Primary school aged children are encouraged to attend Creative Kids on Friday afternoons. We also recommend exploring our range of children’s programs for participants under 12.
- Do parents or carers need to stay during the session?
These sessions support teen independence and are generally run as drop-off programs. However, parents and carers are welcome to stay if their teen requires additional support. Library staff will be present for the duration of the session.
