Our studio space is where we learn skills, create, and sell our art. Spindleworks Gardiner artists are enjoying a full year residency at Vile's arboretum, observing nature and building community.     The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation is an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats. By utilizing applied research, engaging in advocacy, providing educational resources, addressing policy implications, and building community, we endeavor to make meaningful long-term conservation a reality. The Xerces table will include educational materials such as our X Kids activity book. In this activity book, kids can follow along with Blue the Butterfly to meet all kinds of different invertebrates and learn about their superpowers. Interactive matching games bring the concepts of invertebrate conservation to life, along with models and activities to help inform visitors about steps they can take to help. Test your invertebrate knowledge with Xerces Trivia! Kids can color a butterfly or bee mask to take home with them, or complete a scavenger hunt meant to facilitate learning of key invertebrate terms.
