LIMINAL: An adult ADHD event
Event description
Join us for an afternoon of ideas, activities and guided groupwork designed to help adults with ADHD to develop strategies, understand your rhythm and develop a game plan tailored to your needs.
Please note: change of venue from Crafted Coffee to Riccarton Baptist. Where it is a little more peaceful and quiet.
Topics covered will include:
ADHD: some history, and a little of the pain and hope.
Time blindness, overwhelm, dopamine and hyperfocus
Emotional Dysregulation; comes with the territory.
Executive Functioning* and planning.
Using Tiny Habits as a tool. https://tinyhabits.com/
*Executive Functioning refers to a set of mental abilities that help us manage thoughts, emotions, and actions to achieve goals. . Sometimes those with ADHD struggle with executive functioning.
Plus we will launch our Journal/Planner/Workbook. An attempt to provide an ADHD friendly approach to change and life planning.
This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, share experiences, and gain valuable insights into managing ADHD. You will leave with practical skills and tips to help you thrive in daily life, as well as developing your own individual plan.
Who for?
This event is best suited for those who already have a basic understanding of ADHD and want to refine their strategies, and we would encourage you to share your experience also. We want to foster an environment of mutual support and growth and help build the local ADHD community.
