Lincoln National Park: Beach discovery and marine debris clean-up
Event description
Join rangers on a guided beach clean up at Engine Point in Lincoln National Park. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach where we will collect marine debris found along the way. Throughout the walk we will learn more about the National Park, Marine parks and about all the critters big and small that call it home.
Following the walk we will sort, classify and count the marine debris collected from the shoreline.
*Vehicle entry to the park is free for registered attendees. You will however need to provide your vehicle registration plate number when completing checkout.
Accessibility
This activity will involve walking on a sandy beach. It is not recommended for wheelchair users.

The event is suitable for families and people of all ages.
Meeting Point
Lincoln National Park - Engine Point Campground
*Please allow 40 minutes to travel to Engine Point if you are travelling from Port Lincoln.
What to Bring:
- shoes suitable to walk in the beach
- warm clothes
- sun protection
- insect repellent
- drinking water (1 litre minimum)
- snacks
PPE including bags and gloves will be provided.
IMPORTANT:
- NPWS aims to provide inclusive events and activities for all, however some of our events do have specific requirements for participants. - This event will be postponed or cancelled in the event of unsuitable weather conditions or a total fire ban being declared in the Lower Eyre Fire Ban District.
