Little Red & Other Tales, Puppet Show with Rachel
Watch a puppet show and learn to create puppets
Retelling the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood with a twist!
Plus, the stories of the Corn Dolly & the Runaway Pancake. With animated traditional toys and puppets, lots of audience participation, percussion, and rhymes, all set around a kitchen window with themes of home and family.
Make your Own Puppets
Make & play, creating your own puppet from recycled materials & learning performance skills in voice, movement and theatre. Show & workshop fees are affordable, with all materials and educational information resources included.

About the Presenter
Rachel Riggs is an internationally experienced, creative learning & engagement specialist who devises & develops Innovative creative learning projects & theatre for children and families, researching the language of play. As a multi-disciplinary artist in storytelling, puppetry, visual theatre & sensory arts, she creates participatory, immersive experiences, collaborating with communities at venues & events.
Rachel has presented play research papers & workshops in Europe, Iran, Indonesia, South Africa and China. Published work for Early Arts UK, Applied Theatre CSSD, ASSITEJ, the State Library of Western Australia and British UNIMA.Previous creative learning programs include the Art Gallery of Western Australia 2012, the State Library of WA 2011, Awesome Children’s Festival and Creative Challenge 2011, Perth Festival 2012, City of Stirling, Joondalup, Perth & Fremantle.
She has been an artist in residence with Kulunga Aboriginal Kindergarten, Meerilinga & Como Children's centres. Also been a resident artist with the Tate Britain, Modern & Liverpool art galleries education teams, UK and recently Fremantle Arts Centre, WA.
